My name is Abby Mallett. My goal is to inspire every child to be an independent, curious, enthusiastic learner. I’m passionate about helping children reach their potential as students and human beings.
For over 10 years I taught 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades in Boulder Valley School District. During this time I held multiple leadership positions and led professional development for staff at my school. After my daughter was born in 2017, I started teaching privately so I could spend more time parenting her. Teaching independently has been extremely rewarding. I enjoy having the time and resources to assess students thoroughly and tailor instruction to their individual needs. I am committed to using all that I have learned for the sake of each child and his or her growth.
In my spare time, I enjoy being outdoors with my family, crafting, and reading. I’m a bibliophile passionate about children’s literature and have a home overflowing with books. I haven’t found anything to be more true— “It’s not hoarding if it’s books!”
